Though I got in an average amount of films this weekend, I sure wish I would have made time for more. Oh, well. There’s always next week. For now, take a look at some new stuff!

Weekend Movie Review
It was a real hodge-podge of movies this weekend, but all were enjoyable for entirely different reasons.
Read moreBook Review: Lie With Me by Philippe Besson
I’m not sure why it took me so long to finally read the source material that the Frameline Festival film, Lie With Me was based on. In fact, it had been on my ‘to be read’ list for quite some time prior to me even learning about the film!

Freaking AMPTP! I feel like there has been absolutely no hype for the second season of the insanely creative mystery-comedy, The Afterparty, and that’s because none of the major studios can decide to pay people a living wage! There were a small handful of interviews that squeaked out in time, but I would have loved to have seen some of the amazing stars this season get the chance to market the show.

Very cool! Anyway, loved the jacket in this.

It’s been a hot, hot minute since I’ve watched a movie in the theater during the week, and it’s been even longer since I watched two back-to-back! Nothing like getting two foreign, independent films in on a work night.
Read moreBook Review: A Nearly Normal Family by M.T. Edvardsson
I’ve finally decided to start working through all the books I’ve bought myself over the years that have been sitting on me shelf untouched. This novel by M.T. Edvardsson, like most of my other purchases, have been bargain bin finds, with blurbs intriguing enough for me to purchase. A Nearly Normal Family fit that mold, with its unsettling mystery at the center.
