I’m sure you had to know this was coming. When a person finally gets to see the band at the top of their concert wish list, you obviously have to post one of the two drawings you’ve done of them. I mean, I’m talking about me, but I don’t want anyone to feel left out. Anyways, I want to see them again, but for now I will revel in the memory of their stellar performance at Just Like Heaven.

Fan Art Friday: Joe Keery
I haven’t had too much time for new drawings these past couple of months, but I was itching to draw before my next trip. Thus, you get this small drawing of Joe Keery I did on some scrap mat board I had lying around. I have no clue when it’s coming, but I’m really looking forward to him being in the next season of Fargo. Enjoy!

I’m am somewhat disappointed in myself for not having a more recent drawing of Jake Gyllenhaal, but you’re just going to have to settle for this neat poster I liked from his old film Enemy. I get to see Gyllenhaal on screen this year in another Guy Ritchie film. An embarrassment of riches!

Ted Lasso is still going, so that means I’m still drawing my favorite characters. Aside from Jamie Tartt, Roy Kent is next in line and their budding bromance this season has been everything. So here’s the brilliant actor playing Roy, Brett Goldstein.

Or as most people probably know him: Jamie Tartt from Ted Lasso. Like most other people I haven’t seen him in much else, but I plan on changing that as quickly as possible. In the meantime, I’m enjoying the heck out of new Ted Lasso episodes while simultaneously going back and watching the first two seasons again! I know, I’m weird!

You know, Raul Castillo has been a part of so many things I’ve seen over the years, but it took watching the short-lived but brilliant series, Looking, for me to finally pay attention. Since then, I’ve sought out a lot of his independent film work and this man is an incredible chameleon! Most recently he shined in the critically acclaimed drama, The Inspection, and I hope to see him in the Sundance favorite, Cassandro in the near future. If you haven’t seen any of Castillo’s work, I recommend checking out Army of the Dead or Cha Cha Real Smooth to start. Then prepare to get lost in his greatness like I did.

This time next weekend I will be seeing Don Broco for the first time, but not the last time, this year! I am so excited! You get some old artwork because I’ve been too busy and a little bit unmotivated recently. Enjoy regardless, and be on the lookout for the concert review!

Two fun things are happening this weekend, so that means you get double the artwork! It’s not new, but still, enjoy it for what it is. Anyways, those two fun things seeing White Reaper again and the Oscars on Sunday! Thus, you get the band and nominee, Cate Blanchett.

I’m honestly surprised it’s taken me this long to draw Xavier Dolan given how much I fawned over his 2019 film Matthias & Maxime. And in case you’re confused, he’s a writer, director, producer, and actor, and he is freaking amazing. I still have a fair bit of his filmography to go, but if what I’ve watched so far is anything to go by, then I know I won’t be disappointed.

Bringing this old SNL bumper of Elizabeth Banks out of retirement because her latest directorial effort, Cocaine Bear, is in theaters today! I know I certainly can’t wait to watch it later, and I imagine a lot of other people can’t either.
