Concert Throwback: Foo Fighters

You know who me, my sister, and dad should have seen this summer? The Foo Fighters celebrating the 25 year anniversary of their Big Red Van tour. With this tour, they were going to be revisiting the very same cities they played originally, and lucky for us, Cleveland made the cut! Sadly, COVID is going nowhere and neither are we. So to reminisce on what could have been, I tell you about the three times I’ve got to see the band.

Fan Art Friday: Highly Suspect

I suppose more specifically, it is Johnny Stevens from Highly Suspect, but still. Despite sitting on this drawing for such a long time, I was really pleased with how it turned out. I even dabbled with different pen colors rather than black! Still Papermate though. Anyways, I decided to post this drawing because I’ve had some social media interactions with Johnny Stevens this week and it makes me really happy. Also, this could be an homage to the band since my sister and I were supposed to see them in April before COVID ruined everything fun in this life. Enjoy šŸ™‚

Music Review: Tame Impala

My music listening continues! As does my drawing, which is why the music is happening more. This time, I popped in Tame Impala’s records, Currents and The Slow Rush. Since the latter album just dropped on Valentine’s Day, I really haven’t had the opportunity to give it a listen. And since it’s been four years since the release of Currents, I decided to give that another spin.

Music Review: The White Reaper Catalog

Even though I’ve been a fan of White Reaper for a few years, I still hadn’t presented myself with the opportunity to listen to their third full length, You Deserve Love, that came out this past October. What better time than a quarantine?! That, coupled with a lot of drawing at my kitchen table, means that I actually listened to their entire discography again all the way through. Totally worth it.

Fan Art Friday: Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday

I’ve been slacking on the fan art posts! And yes, I know today is Saturday, but I’m trying to make up for it! So here we go. Taking Back Sunday did back-to-back shows near me this week, and while I did not attend, I have seen them countless times before. They always rock so hard! So here is a drawing of the only member who has always been a part of the band, Adam Lazzara. I’d be remiss to say I never had a crush on the man – just look at him!

Fan Art Friday: Sullivan

It’s time to give some love to one of my favorite bands of all time: Sullivan. I would consider them fairly unknown and that is a damn shame because all three records they’ve released over an hiatus and 15 years is absolutely fantastic! Here’s some throwback mixed media artwork I did back in high school for these guys.

2019 Final Concert Review: Ghost

I really hope Iā€™m joking about this, but sadly I may not be. In which case, you read that right. This is my last schedule concert of the year; therefore, it is the last concert review of 2019. But it was a doozy and a highly entertaining one at that! A solid line-up of Texas-based rockers, Nothing More, opening for, as my co-worker described them, the modern 80s rock band, Ghost!
