Woah! Next week I get to meet one of the stars of my favorite show of all time, Heroes! And who better than THE cheerleader?! Here’s hoping I can keep my cool around Hayden Panettiere.

Fan Art Friday: Scream
If I would have prepared myself better, I probably would have drawn this again for Steel City Con last weekend given that so many cast members were there, but life and procrastination got in the way. Instead, you get to see this old one I gifted away back in the day. I was really proud of how it turned out, so who knows, maybe I’ll get the chance to draw it again someday.

I didn’t get any extra days off besides the holiday, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t able to squeeze in a ton of movies! I didn’t get to the theater as much as I would have preferred, but there was still some solid gold in there.

My friends, this weekend was packed, but I still managed to squeeze a couple movies in.

This past week, in honor of the fifth installment of Scream hitting theaters, I decided to go back and revisit the prior four films. I am fairly confident I haven’t watched any of these since the last one came out in 2011. There was the short-lived MTV series based on the Scream IP that I watched from 2015-2019, but it didn’t include any of the characters that are synonymous with this particular franchise. It’s as if I just can’t get enough of this franchise! Just the other night, I finally finished up what I assume is the last season of MTV’s Scream television series. Truthfully, this review was a long time coming considering the six episodes premiered two at a time over the summer, but I was just watching other things, you know? I was also a little skeptical because they totally recast and then sat on releasing the episodes for the better part of two years.

I realize that yes, I met THE Neve Campbell last week at a convention, but this drawing is actually 100% unrelated! As part of adopt-a-family, someone requested Scream merchandise, so I figured I’d get a little personal and creative by drawing her the original film’s poster! I hope it’s well received, because I had a fun time drawing this.

The other day I finished up the thriller, Final Girls, written by Riley Sager, and the long and short of it was that I loved it! Just the title alone had me hooked. It immediately made me think of the 2015 movie Final Girl starring Abigail Breslin, although I knew they wouldn’t be the same. But still, cinematic quality title for sure.
