Book Review: Broken Things by Lauren Oliver

What can I say? I am on a Lauren Oliver kick ever since reading the excellence that was The Vanishing Girls! Yes, Panic didn’t quite live up to my expectations, but she’s redeemed herself with Broken Things! Another complex mystery that involves a five year old murder of a best friend. Lives have been ruined and a rag-tag group slaps themselves together to try and figure out who actually did it.

9-1-1 Lone Star and Prodigal Son Review

Yay to season premieres! The start of this new year is starting to feel just a bit more normal with the premieres of shows I would typically watch at this time. The Undoing Miniseries Review

I’ve only recently been able to enjoy what HBO Max has to offer, but so far it has not been disappointing! Book Review: There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

Despite it being a young adult novel, the premise (and the title, come on) sounded perfectly creepy and right up my alley! And it was! This delivered both the spooks and the gore and I hope they really commit in the adaptation.

Black Narcissus Miniseries Review

A couple of weeks ago, FX premiered an excellent British drama called Black Narcissus, and I was hooked from the start. I was actually quite sad that it was only three parts. In an interesting move on FX’s part, all three episodes aired back to back. I didn’t watch these live, so it had no impact on me, but I still thought it was an interesting move.

Double Book Review!

That’s right, two times the book reviews! Mainly because I read and finished two books simultaneously this week. That usually doesn’t happen, so for this rare occasion I will give my thoughts at the same time! They were two fairly different stories. One was a romantic drama, where two very different people work though in their own way why their relationship isn’t working. The other was a thriller about a woman feeling like her life is getting turned upside down when she learns secrets about her late husband and her current husband!
