Roswell, New Mexico Season Finale Review

Well, it’s been a whirlwind of a ride on the Roswell, New Mexico train, and I can honestly say I’m not super pumped about where they dropped me off.

I suppose I’m upset because show creator Carina Adly MacKenzie and other cast members promised that there is an ending to the show, since you know, they might not get guaranteed a second season. And I suppose I was deceived. Sure, there were plot points that truly did end, but I feel like I’m left with more questions than answers.

SPOILERS AHEAD! The alien gang and Liz manage to defeat Noah after Max learns that he can amass other powers to help him with that quest…I get the feeling they are sort of alien royalty. Everything else in between was sort of just meh. Alex and Maria were barely featured, and I feel like the Kyle/Sargent Manes showdown was rushed and plopped in randomly. Isobel, after being heartbroken about her relationship with Noah decides to test some extra powers of her own, Max and Liz finally get together, and Michael chooses Maria…which highly disappointed me. The episode ends with Max “dying” while resurrecting Rosa – definitely didn’t see that coming!

I mean look, the show has 100 percent hooked me, and I’d really like to see a second season for this reboot/re-imagining. Maybe it’ll end in a better place.

UPDATE! Roswell, New Mexico got renewed for season two, so the writers need to get to answering those questions!
