It’s kind of crazy how much time has passed between the first and second season of spin-off series, Gen V. In fairness, we did get a new season of The Boys in between, and I’m sure it was difficult to figure out what to do with the death of main cast member, Chance Perdomo not too long after the first season aired.

New Year, New Movie Review
With so many ‘best of’ lists in the pipeline, I figured I’d put some space between them and the first full movie review I do for the year. So that means you get two weekend’s worth of recommendations!

Now that I’ve talked about Rachel Reid’s novel, Heated Rivalry, it would only make sense to disect the Canadian show of the same name!

It’s been a while since I’ve followed my own, sage advice. I read Rachel Reid’s novel, Heated Rivalry AFTER I watched the series. Well, technically I finished them both on the same day, but it still counts. More of the show was watched before I started reading and that’s what matters.

If I do recall, it did take me some time to get in the groove of the writing style of the Case File Compendium series. The same is the case for this new series, Guardian, though it’s by a completely different author in Preist. Though to be fair, this author has a pretty deep bibliography. And I also didn’t realize how long this particular series has been around! It’s also been adapted into a show back in 2018! Crazy.

Though I am not all that fond of Julianne Moore, I was intrigued by the stacked cast of this five-part limited series. I will admit that the small number of episodes and “limited series” aspect of it is what also drew me to Sirens.
