One of my closest friends recently posted a picture of a statue that I had happened to have drawn almost 15 years ago! At the time I had no clue the real statue lived so close to home! In all honesty, I picked this depressing statue of The Angel of Death because it went perfectly with a lyric from one of my all time favorite bands. In Sullivan’s song, “The Charity of Saint Elizabeth,” it’s all about going too soon, but not yet being ready to die. So here’s a little throwback drawing, and you should all definitely go listen to that song.

Fan Art Friday: Sleigh Bells
In honor of Sleigh Bells’ latest album, Texis, releasing in September, here is a new drawing of them!
Fan Art Friday: Armor for Sleep
In honor of seeing one of my favorite middle school bands at the end of the month for the first time, Armor for Sleep, here’s my latest drawing! Now, this is a drawing of a drawing I did in high school, based off a shirt I bought maybe 14 years ago. It may all be dated, but I’m pumped to catch these guys on the What to Do When You Are Dead anniversary tour!

I’ve always been a fan of Margot Robbie and this drawing has been on the docket for quite some time. For whatever reason, now seemed like the time to draw it! The Suicide Squad just came out a little while ago, but I think she’s got some good projects on the horizon. I’m looking forward to whatever she puts out whether it’s acting or part of production company. In the meantime enjoy this latest drawing!

I suppose this could also be classified as a Flashback Friday since this drawing is older and has definitely made an appearance on the blog before. But I digress. Jessica Chastain deserves the repeat love because she is everywhere right now! I personally plan on checking her out in The Eyes of Tammy Faye tomorrow, but you can also catch her in Scenes From a Marriage on HBO right now. That’ll be a bit later in the year for me, but you know you’ll see a review for it when I do. In the meantime, enjoy this drawing!

Well, in this case, I suppose it’s only one member of Arctic Monkeys, but still. I’ve got a bunch of scrap pieces of mat board lying around my house, so I decided to make use of them with little miniature drawings. Since I’ve been wading through Arctic Monkeys’ discography, I thought it was only appropriate to show my love of their tunes with a little drawing. Expect some bigger pieces and ones of the whole band in the future, but for now, enjoy this multi-colored miniature of Alex Turner!

Since I will be catching Motionless in White this weekend at Inkcarceration Music Festival, here are some drawings from the last Warped Tour my sister and I saw them at. We even got them signed!

I know I was a fairweather fan of the now cancelled Prodigal Son, but I can’t deny that lead, Tom Payne, caught my eye. I had never heard of him prior to the show but I do know I’ll be looking out for his future roles! For now, enjoy this drawing.

Look, I held off drawing this as long as I could. Not because I thought it was going to be too difficult, but because I really only drew The Last Shadow Puppets like a month ago. I don’t want to come off crazy. Also, I do have other things I could draw, but this band has been on constant repeat since I started listening to them a few months ago. Who am I kidding, it’s a full-blown obsession! And I treat my obsessions with fan art. It’s the highest form of flattery I can offer. So with that, here is another drawing of Miles Kane and Alex Turner of The Last Shadow Puppets. I assure you, this will not be the last drawing you see of this band…not by a long shot.

After my experience last weekend at Steel City Con, I’ve decided to revisit this 14 year old drawing I did of Freddy vs Jason, even though I have never seen the film. Look, we had a “Halloween” themed drawing assignment in high school and this cool ass picture is what I wanted to do. As soon as I started it I was nervous for how all the textures would turn out, but I was pretty pleased. Hope you enjoy!
