I guess I don’t mean “mega” as in blockbusters, I just mean I watched six movies in three days. That would be a mega achievement for almost anyone, myself included. I will say though, that most of these were pretty mediocre, but that’s just the way it is sometimes. I won’t bore you with the details, so here’s my fast-take below:

Weekend Movie Round-Up
Admittedly, this weekend I watched two rather lame movies, so I decided to re-watch two others to make up for my poor decisions. Netflix and Hulu certainly let me down this weekend, so hopefully they can redeem themselves in the near future.

Since it was just a normal two-day weekend for me, I only managed to squeeze in two movies. To be fair, I watched a lot of shows, too! Either way, I picked two shorter films, one a bit newer with a sci-fi story, and the other was just a little bit bonkers. Let’s dive in!

I had heard about this Xavier Dolan movie several months back and I’ve been stalking the internet ever since on how I could watch it. Well, it’s finally made its way onto several digital services, so I sat down to give The Death and Life of John F. Donovan a watch on Saturday. I also remember a bunch of controversy surrounding the book, but I couldn’t remember why. Turns out, not all of the memoir was true.

I’d like to say that with this quarantine I’ve had more time to watch movies, but that’s not true. I still work from home, and realistically, four movies in one weekend is not unheard of for me. But we can all pretend, right? Either way, I saw some fairly middle of the road films that were fairly enjoyable.

Well, since it’s now Thursday, I suppose I can talk about what I’ve watched this week…which truly hasn’t been that much. But it will be a mix! A movie made it into my viewing queue this past Monday!
